Disney+ and Hulu’s Throwbacks Mini Mall, a limited-time experiential activation at Westfield Century City brought together fans, creators, and celebrities to celebrate beloved titles including Glee, The Princess Diaries, High School Musical, Gilmore Girls, Lizzie McGuire, and more.

To build excitement leading up to the event and maximize its cultural impact, The Brand Agency developed and executed a comprehensive PR strategy designed to transform nostalgia into social conversation. The team managed pre-event communications, RSVP coordination, onsite talent logistics, and post-event asset distribution and social monitoring.

Ahead of the public opening, we supported an exclusive influencer and celebrity preview, welcoming talent like Glee’s Amber Riley and Josh Sussman, High School Musical’s Drew Seeley, The Proud Family’s Alisa Reyes, and That’s So Raven’s Juliette Goglia. Guests explored interactive installations inspired by fan-favorite Disney+ and Hulu titles and characters, creating highly sharable moments that fueled excitement ahead of the weekend.

Through strategic influencer engagement, The Brand Agency helped generate buzz, amplify nostalgic storytelling, and position the Throwbacks Mini Mall activation as an authentic cultural moment that resonated across generations.

By securing a curated mix of creators and celebrity talent, The Brand Agency’s efforts generated more than 23 million social impressions, leading to widespread awareness and renewed excitement for classic Disney+ and Hulu titles, inspiring longtime fans and new audiences alike to revisit and stream their favorite shows and movies.
