
The Challenge
Our client VirtualCons is the world’s first ever app bringing the convention experience the digital world. After we handled a successful PR campaign for the app launch, the client team approached The Brand Agency about one of their first IRL events after the COVID pandemic. The creators of SopranosCon and MobMovieCon ideated a multi-day celebration that brought fans the first-ever combined event with a street fair-inspired experience with food, drink, exhibits, contests, meet and greets with over 50 attending cast members from their favorite films, and more. VirtualCons tasked The Brand Agency with spearheading press mentions in order to create buzz and consumer ticket purchases. Our team focused on securing press coverage before, during and after the event and coordinating ticket giveaways with various local radio stations to promote MobMovieCon and SopranosCon, as well as their first ever Mob Movie Awards hosted by celebrities. Our efforts resulted in the biggest event weekend in the mob genre worldwide.
