Homeboys Industries x Amazon Studios

  • An Election Day Partnership

The Challenge

Amazon Studios and non-profit Homeboy Industries entered a partnership to feed poll workers in underserved parts of Los Angeles on Election Day. Ahead of the 2020 Presidential Election, The Brand Agency was tasked to pitch out the details of this activation. Our team identified a need to disseminate the news regionally but also decided to pursue national headlines.

The Strategy

Our efforts spanned various sectors including digital, broadcast, and radio. In order to successfully publicize these efforts, we coordinated with the Mayor’s office and secured earned media via seeded quotes from key personalities such as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Head of Amazon Studios, Jennifer Salke. Father Greg Boyle, the founder of Homeboys Industries, was also interviewed by both radio and broadcast news outlets.

The Result

​OVER 337.69 MILLION EARNED MEDIA IMPRESSIONS

As a result of The Brand Agency’s efforts, Amazon Studios’ partnership with Homeboys Industries to serve meals to poll workers was covered by top outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter and LA Weekly, Eater and more.
